One of India’s leading exponents and teacher of Bharathanatyam and Hatha yoga, Yamini Muthanna, has been roped in by Tatasky TV channel to conduct daily yoga lessons.
Yamini said she has just finished four-episode shoot with Tatasky Active Fitness. She added that she would conduct yoga classes five days a week and the programme will release in two months.
She has been trained in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Dr.Vasundhara Doraswamy and her Yoga Sadhana is blessed by Yogacharya BNS Iyengar. yamini natayam
Yamini runs an exclusive Yoga and Bharatnatyam Studio in Indiranagar, Bangalore. She has conducted yoga workshops in London, New York, Washington, and Los Angles.

Yamini is the daughter of Chendrimada Raja Machaiah and Sundari (Kalengada). She is married to Kotera. C. Muthanna. They have two children Rithwik Iyappa , aged 17,and Manya Thangamma, aged 15.

Yamini Muthanna studied under the guidance of Yoga Visharadha Sri BNS Iyengar for over 30 years. Yamini is a purist practicing Hatha Yoga Vinyasa and does not believe in tampering with the techniques evolved by the ancient masters. Yamini runs a school of yoga in Bangalore called Yogastala
She is also a “Top Graded” artist at the Doordarshan, India’s NationalTV channel.
As an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, she has travelled across the world as a Cultural Ambassador, appointed by the External Affairs Ministry, Government of India.
Yamini was invited by the Ministry for Youth and Cultural affairs, New Delhi, to conduct workshops and dance performances in several schools and colleges in New Delhi as a part of their cultural promotion initiative. Yamini has featured in many ad films.
Yamini has given Bharatanatyam recitals in USA, UK, Fiji, Malaysia and Australia sponsored by the ICCR.
She has performed at Mount Barton Hall, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London and the Nehru Centre, London.
Her tour of the USA includes New Jersey, Washington DC, Los Angeles was sponsored by the Indo American Council for cultural exchange. Her performances encompass a wide spectrum of spiritual and secular themes.
Over 3 decades in the field of performing arts, Yamini has developed large repertoire of performance work. She has performed for a variety of occasions, National and International festivals, conferences, corporate functions, product launches and many such gatherings.
She has students from all over the world studying at her exclusive Yoga and Bharatnatyam Studio in Indiranagar, Bangalore.
She regularly conducts Yoga workshops in different corporate sectors on the benefits of Yoga in modern living.
Yamini has authored a book ‘The Power of Yoga’ [buy on Amazon India] published by Om Books International, Delhi. The book is now on the best seller lists. The book has also won an award for best design by the Indian Books Federation. This book is now also available in Chinese
